Appletree Woods (or World A-2) is the second level of Goldwood Forest in Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii. It is a fall-themed level featuring many Monty Moles and Spike Tops.
Appletree Woods is unlocked by completing Autumn Plateau. Completing its normal exit will unlock Fall Harvest, and completing its secret exit will unlock Goldbuzz Forest.

Star Coins[]
- Star Coin 1: Before the little cave section with the Piranha Plants, jump over it using the Maple Trees. Run to the right, and jump across some more maple trees. This will lead you to the first Star Coin.
- Star Coin 2: Right after the checkpoint, this Star Coin will be in plain sight. Lower the Donut Blocks by staying on them long enough, then use the Koopa Troopa shell to throw it at the Star Coin.
- Star Coin 3: This Star Coin will be in plain sight. Just ground pound through the Brick Blocks as Super Mario to get the final Star Coin.
Secret Exit[]
Right after the third Star Coin, go down with the Donut Blocks that have coins below it. Then jump left, and go through the hidden Warp Pipe. This will lead you to a secret exit that leads to Goldbuzz Forest.
