Goombas are a recurring enemy in the Mario series. They are a common enemy which appear in both Newer games, Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii and Newer Super Mario Bros. DS.

Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii

Goombas appear in Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii. They first appear in Palm Beach, and last appear in Grey Mountains.

Appearance

Goombas are depicted as brown mushroom-like creatures with feet. Goombas have bushy eyebrows and a pair of fangs sprouting from their lower jaw.

Though they're not limited to the color brown. In Navyblue Molemine, they appear blue, and in Grey Mountains, they appear grey. Also, in snowy levels, Goombas wear Santa hats. These Goombas are called Christmas Goombas.

Behavior

Goombas are the easiest enemies in the game. They slowly walk left and right, fall off ledges, and can be defeated by almost anything.

Newer Super Mario Bros. DS

Goombas reappear in Newer Super Mario Bros. DS. They first appear in Everbrown Meadow, and last appear in Wicked Gale Vale.

Appearance

Goombas appear the same as the last game. Though this time, they're 2D sprites instead of 3D models. This is because in the original game, they're 2D sprites.

Behavior

Goombas behave the exact same as the last game. They walk slowly, fall off ledges, and can be killed by almost anything.
